My Activity

Reviewed Good Eats Roast Turkey

"Just made this because we had a frozen turkey that needed to be consumed. Needless to say, I will never cook a turkey any other way. AMAZINGLY juicy white meat and perfectly done dark meat.

I would add that Alton's "lowest rack" in his oven is MUCH closer to the top of the oven than mine is. Therefore, my turkey did not brown and crisp like ""

Reviewed The Ultimate Beef Wellington

"Can I give 10 stars? By far the most delicious meal I’ve attempted. Rave reviews from everyone who dined (brought tears to my wife’s eyes, it was so good).

Reviewed Spaghetti alla Carbonara

"While it may not be ‘heart healthy’, this is how carbonara should be done. When cooking the eggs into the meal, there is a very fine point at which you have a ‘sauce’ and when it becomes scrambled egg.

You might have to make this more than once to perfect the timing, but once you do, you’ll probably never go back to cream-based carbonara again.

Reviewed Vanilla Bean-Nutmeg Shake with Blackberry Swirl

"This is a definite winner for a refreshing desert! Even though the vanilla bean may cost you (about $12 for 1 bean in MN), you MUST use a vanilla bean and NOT use extract. The aroma and flavor from the bean is amazing!

I will be making this again and again!!
