Reviewed Cajun Shrimp and Rice Recipe : Food Network Kitchen : Food Network

Sep 18, 2014 on

Tasty with minor changes. I added a small diced green pepper and a cup of sliced okra shortly after the shrimp. It was still a bit bland at the end. I don't suggest using more Cajun seasoning as it would get too salty so I just added several good shakes of Tabasco and then it was very good. Will make again with those changes.

Delicious and adaptable. To satisfy my vegetarians I sub'd with vegetable broth and could only find red lentils. At the finish I removed and pureed about of the third of it leaving the carrots untouched. Returned to pot and added a chopped spinach/ chard/ kale combo since I put greens in everything!
