Reviewed Homemade Rice and Roni

Dec 15, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great, inexpensive, side dish we cook often. My family loves it. Here are a few changes that I have made to this to make it tastier:
*I use 2 TBS butter, with a bit of EVOO to brown the noodles.
*You need double the liquid, 4 cups total!
*And most importantly, a canned chicken broth is NOT nearly enough flavor...

My family really enjoyed this recipe. It is a bit time consuming, so plan WAY ahead before starting this one. I would have rated this a 5, but there are a few VERY necessary changes that need to be made. First, no need for sliced onions and frozen onions, one large chopped onion is enough. Second, a TBS of salt is too much. I would cut it back to...

Reviewed Bacon Wrapped Chicken with Blue Cheese and Pecans

Aug 25, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is extremely rich in flavor and delicious! I used gorgonzola cheese, as it is a little milder than blue cheese. The only change I feel this needs, is something sweet to balance all the strong, salty flavors. So when I made the gravy, I added some honey to it. That did the trick! I saw another review that said they used candy pecans ins"

This turned out really good! My first attempt at Chicken Lettuce Wraps and I'm so glad I picked this recipe to try. Very flavorful. I added carrot and a little extra sugar but that is the only change. My family loved it! "

I'm so glad I tried this recipe! I was really unsure if it would be as good as the reviews said. IT WAS! Extremely quick and easy to make. The flavors were perfect. Just make sure to season each step well with salt & pepper. My daughter and husband finished every last bite of it, which makes me happy! We skipped the bell pepper and added garlic, b"

Reviewed Peanut Butter Cookies with Blackberry Jam

Mar 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These cookies taste sooooo good! Great PB&J recipe. I used Strawberry Preserves instead and it was wonderful. The ONLY thing I would change about this recipe is the ratio of jam to cookie. There is ALOT of cookie and a little jam and the middle was the most delicious part. Next time I'm going to make the cookie balls smaller to fix that. Will make"

Reviewed Lady and Sons' Chicken in Wine Sauce

Jan 26, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Yum! I was expecting it to taste like the old chicken, cream of mushroom soup and stove top stuffing recipe. But it tasted completely different. The wine and swiss cheese make this really good. And to top it off, it was super easy and the whole family loved it. Perfect dinner for a busy night! Will make again and again. Thanks for the recipe! "

Reviewed Homemade Orange Marshmallows

Oct 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are so cool! I can't believe I made homemade marshmallows and it was easy! Like the other reviews, it took FOREVER for it to reach 240 degrees. I actually gave up waiting at 235 degrees and everything still turned out wonderful. The only thing I will change next time is spreading them in a 9x13 instead of an 8x8 so they will be smaller and e"

I LOVE this recipe! My husband and I both really like lemon so we make this one often. I recommend doubling the sauce and tossing some of it with angel hair pasta. It's a great base for the chicken to be topped on. For the people who say this is too lemony, add extra butter to tone it down. I've had to do that before and it works well. "

I've been making this recipe for years now. The citrus is such a YUMMY addition! I just use a 50/50 mix of granny smiths and whatever sweeter apples are on sale at the time. Always turns out great! "
