Great recipe! Easy and fool-proof. I've used plain yogurt, greek yogurt or sour cream (whichever I have in the fridge) with great results every time. Also, I always use frozen berries since I can't seem to get good fresh ones here in SW Arkansas. "

Reviewed Cheesy Gnocchi Casserole with Ham and Peas

This was very good! I used chicken and broccoli instead of ham and peas. I was out of ham :-(
I like the technique of cooking the gnocchi and everything together in one pot. This was great quick meal, I had dinner made from start to finish in 20 minutes. Probably would have been faster if I had used ham since I had to cook the chicken. "

This recipe makes the perfect chocolate cupcake. Light, moist and lots of flavor. I did not make the filling or icing since I was just wanting a regular chocolate cupcake. I topped them with chocolate cream cheese frosting instead. Yummy!"

Great banana bread recipe! The sour cream does the trick! Instead of white sugar, I used 1/4c splenda and 1/4c agave nectar. Very moist and tasty."

Best chocolate chip cookie, ever. No hard, dry cookies at my house. Just don't over-bake. Seriously, stand in front of the oven for the last 3-4 minutes to make sure. Take them out when they just slightly brown on the edges. Even if the middle looks gooey. Let the gooey ones sit on the hot pan a little longer before putting them on the cooling ra...

Yummy! Great method if you don't want to fire up the grill. Also more consistent than the grill. Open some windows, this will smoke up the house. ""

Reviewed Slow Cooker Pepper Pork Chops

Feb 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great every time! A nice change to my usual baked mushroom chops or breaded chops. I don't usually brine the chops, it is not necessary if you use pork chops with a decent amount of fat and you are going to cook them all day in a broth. Just start with the browning step. Also, I never have dried apples, so I use fresh. They turn to mush, but who ...

Reviewed Parmesan-Roasted Broccoli

Feb 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Just Ok. I really like broccoli so I enjoyed it, my husband did not. It really stunk the house up though. I think I'll stick to steamed broccoli. I also tried this method with carrots, they are fantastic!""

Super easy!! One of my husband's favorite dishes to have at family potlucks. Actually, he usually makes it and has it done before I get home from work. One tip: do not mix it up then bake it the next day, you will get goop (although still tasty). Don't know what I was thinking, the leavening in the muffin mix becomes deactivated as it sits. It is...

Reviewed Towering Flourless Chocolate Cake

Feb 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Whenever I ask my husband what he would like for dessert he replies, "Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!" Nothing I bake is ever chocolatey enough for him. Until now. This cake was wonderful! I did not have any dark beer so I used 1 tbls Kahlua and strong coffee to make 1/2 cup. I also like big meringue so I used 4 egg whites. Fantastic! ""
