I have made this soup dozens of times now over the years! I do brown some spicy italian sausage to add to it... An immersion blender does the trick well for smoothness...Delicious... I also add a half shot of bourbon.... It's a HIT!! kkv

Yes Very Tasty!!! A trick to peel your pears....Put into low boiling water for about 10 Seconds....remove to cold water & peel with your fingers. Peel slips off & leaves your the Perfect Pear! :)

We LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this recipe with a few modifications....it is perfect for us. I did cut the sugar by One & Half Cups. I also use my Immersion Blender on Day Two after about the first hour of simmering, to turn the cut up oranges & lemons into small bits. You can blend as small or chunky as you wish. I leave some small bits. I also add a coup"
