"These gooey butter cookies remind me of everything I mentioned in the title...part cookie, part brownie and part Moon Pie (with the exception of no creamy filling). They are honestly super fast to make and taste delish! Some words of advice: don't use your handmixer when adding the cake mix (definitely too firm of a cookie dough for it to blend/mix, opt for a nice wooden spoon to mix. And it doesn't need to be chilled for longer than 1 hr. Coat your hands with the powdered sugar so the dough doesn't stick when making the balls, too!

"Divided the batch between 1/2 pecan and 1/2 chocolate chunk. Absolutely the best oatmeal cookies EVER! Wish I made them with dried apricots and dried cranberries, too as one suggested, but will be sure to next time!!! Perfectly crisp and chewy!!
