My Activity

Reviewed Apple Crisp

"I'm giving this 4 stars instead of five due to the topping not being as crisp as I would have liked. Otherwise totally delish!! I made it for dessert for a weeknight evening. The hardest part was peeling and chopping all the apples but still didn't take all that long. I made a slight alteration. I substituted pancake syrup for the maple syrup(it was $6 a bottle and for 3TBSP didn't think that was worth the price and I sure couldn't tell a difference!! Save a few pennies : Also, I went ahead and toasted the pecans I think they enhance the flavor! The apple crisp was a hit with the family! We topped it with cool whip and enjoyed every bite!
