My Activity

Reviewed Lemon Pasta with Roasted Shrimp

"This is a go-to recipe for me. I always have lemons at hand in the kitchen and fresh shrimp are a staple here in Georgia. I substitute whole wheat pasta for regular and use an olive oil spray instead of pouring olive oil directly on the fish. I cut back on the butter and olive oil in the sauce too, which doesn't hurt the flavor at all. DELICIOUS."

Reviewed Corn Casserole

"I now joke with people that I'm the Pied Piper of Paula Deen's Corn Casserole. We made it for New Years Day dinner and it was such a hit my friends and I crowed about it on Facebook. The next day, 1 friend had already made it for dinner (and wanted to lick the casserole dish) and even more people were planning to make if for their next special supper. You don't have to change a thing. Corn casserole should be sweet, subtle, and the corn should be the star ingredient. This does the trick. LOVE IT!!! God Bless you, Paula!!

Reviewed Black-Eyed Peas with Bacon and Pork

"I've made a lot of black eyed peas in my time and this is by FAR the best recipe I've ever made. I didn't change a thing (which is odd for me! I'm always tweaking! and this was FULL of flavor and just enough kick of cayenne to make it a huge hit on New Years Day with the pickiest "I don't eat black eyed peas, except for these!!" group of people.
