"Alton's recipes are always great, and this one's easy too. @ Phil-n-Alice. . .While the name Alton Brown is probably English in origin, he's as American as apple pie, or since he's from Georgia, pecan pie! Anyone who watches Good Eats knows that Alton is a stickler for measurements when he bakes, and always weighs dry ingredients, so 8 oz would be by weight, not by cup. Hope this helps, Good Eating!!!
