My Activity

Reviewed Vegetable Tian

"Good, but here's a suggestion: Season the veggies before you layer them. I added salt and pepper on each layer before putting it together and even seasoned it all again just before covering it. Still, once it was ready, it needed more salt. Also, the sauteed onions and garlic added so much flavor! Next time, I might even try a light layer in bet"

Reviewed Lemon-Garlic Shrimp and Grits

"LOVED this. Followed someone else's advice and added Old Bay, and also added Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning. Also added extra flat leaf parsley to the grits. SO easy, and SOOO GOOD! I will definitely be making this again! Oh! and serve it with sourdough bread and butter. Very good!"

Reviewed Grilled Tuna with Olive Tapenade

"The olive tapenade was good, but I don't know, the flavor of it was very strong. I think it might go better with chicken. We had charcoal grilled tuna steaks, and they were good, but I was glad I only put the tapenade on the side because otherwise I wouldn't have even been able to taste the tuna at all. I would make the two things again, but separately. "

Reviewed Pan-Seared Shrimp with Romesco Sauce, Creamy Grits, and Greens

"It was good. I will say that I don't think that it was so good that I'll be craving it again sometime in the future. I liked the Romesco sauce, so I would probably make that again to go with chicken or shrimp. But it was a lot of work without the big "Wow that's the best thing I ever ate" payoff. Still good, though.
