My Activity

Reviewed Roasted Cauliflower

"This was my first time making cauliflower and it was amazing. I didn't have thyme but I don't think it was missed. I also roasted for a lot longer than 20 minutes."

Reviewed Mac and Cheese

"I omitted the tomatoes and nutmeg, and it turned out great. The cheese sauce was amazing. I switched the proportion of the cheeses to save a little money. Also, next time I would under cook the noodles, so that they don't get mushy when baked in the oven. Finally, broiled the bread crumbs, but would do just a little longer to get them really crisp""

Reviewed Udon with Tofu and Asian Greens

"Really great. I added some chicken broth to the noodle water and added garlic to the spinach as others had suggested. Next time I will add mushrooms. Very simple, and delicious. ""

Reviewed Mr. John's Meat-Stuffed Bell Peppers

"This recipe was amazing. I used ground turkey and brown rice to make the dish healthier. I also added a can of italian-spiced tomatoes and added it to the rice/turkey mixture. I used the tomato sauce as a layer to coat the bottom of the dish. Finally, topped the peppers with some parmesan cheese and this dish turned out full of flavor. Definitely ""

Reviewed Asian Grilled Salmon

"Holy crap, that was fantastic. I did what other reviewers suggested and cooked at 400 for 20 minutes in a foil pouch and then sauced and put under the broiler for another 5 minutes. The fish was cooked perfectly. I love salt, but it does border the line of saltiness. Maybe try low-sodium kikoman next time. Also, I think wilted greens underneath wo""

Reviewed The Ultimate Potato Gratin

"I made this last night as a test-run for Christmas dinner. I did half with the cabbage, and the other half with just bacon, because I was kind of skeptical about the cabbage. It was delicious. The cabbage gave it a slightly sour taste that cut into the fattiness of the potatoes, and gave the dish an elevated complex flavor profile. However, the ba""

Reviewed Chicken Sausage Rigatoni in a Spicy Vodka Sauce

"This recipe was great. I changed the order a bit, and deglazed with the vodka first, then let the tomatoes stew for 10 minutes (used crushed as others had suggested), and then added the cream. Next time I will use basil instead of parsley. I think the flavor goes better with the sauce.""

Reviewed Asian Glazed Wings

"These wings were so good, I was licking the bones afterwards to get every last bite of sauce. And the recipe was extremely easy to follow. I did break down my wings, which I found left more surface area for sauce. Alton Brown has a great video of how to do this, for those interested, or in need of instruction like I was.""
