AMAZING!....made this for a crowd so I doubled the recipe.....good thing cuz it disappeared. The hands-on process is pretty quick, you just have to be patient for the onions to do their thing in the butter....soooo worth the wait! AWESOME!..We made this as part of a Thai-inspired meal for Mother's Day this year and it was a bit hit. Tastes fresh and or cold...paired with Thai barbecue skirt steak. You could substitute any favorite diced fresh's the dressing that makes it great...even better the second day."

...this is an excellent basic scone recipe. I've tried it as is, as well as substituting the cranberries for orange zest and 1tsp minced fresh rosemary......also orange zest and chopped candied ginger. I turned the dough out (in 2 batches) directly onto the parchment paper then flattened it by hand and scored it into 8 pieces each....phenomenal!
