Alas, the only black bean soup recipe you will ever need! Only changes I made was adding freshly ground ginger, chopped jalapenos, and subbing a fresh ham hock for bacon. I blended half in my NutriNinja. Incredible flavor, and the ketchup is the surprise ingredient that makes you think "what is that!" Will be making again for sure, might try the slow...

EXCELLENT! The wine just needs to be cooked a bit. Next time I would sautee some onions and garlic and deglaze the pan with the wine to cook it out a bit. Then add to the dutch oven with the remaining broth after the 45 mins @ 350. This technique is a keeper though. Risotto in half the effort....flavor combinations are endless. I added portobellos...

Absolutely amazing. Only changes were frying up our own corn tortillas and seasoning the shrimp with a dry rub instead of the dressing. Will be making again!!!

Excellent! Toasted up some pita and cut it into triangles. I also added roasted tomato instead of the paste, red pepper flakes, dried thyme, rosemary, parsley and basil (whatever was in the pantry). So good!!!! "

Delicious!!! I didn't use a whole chicken, i only used drumsticks. I also cooked at 375 for a half hour and deglazed the pan with white wine before putting in the oven. So good! "

Excellent. I used 3 eggs per pound of spaghetti instead of 2 though and had to add a little splash of milk to loosen it up. Also sauteed portabella mushrooms and sundried tomatoes with the garlic and pancetta. Yum!!! ""
