"This was the third Thanksgiving I have used this recipe and it keeps getting better. My 20 lb bird was the cheapest I could find ($0.49 a lb.), was done in 3 hours and was the best of the three. (I do have trouble finding the right place to insert the meat thermometer.) A friend who also cooked a 20 lb bird told me his took 5 1/2 hours.""

"Made this for Thanksgiving and it was excellent! I doubled the recipe to accomodate 10 people. I used 1 full lb. of bacon because I didn't have enough to double the quantity called for and I think it that was too much. It was not low sodium bacon and I found it salty. Next time, I won't use so much and will use low-sodium. Otherwise, it was Gobbli""
