"I only made the Kale chips and love the taste. It shrank to nothing, so you will need to make several servings. It is very fragile. The best way to coat vegetable before roasting is to do it a large pot/bowl, then spread it out on the tray. You will get an even coating, no mess from stuff falling over. I used 1tsp of oil and very little salt and it came out greasy and very salty. Giada used way too much oil- spray the tray with non-stick and it will lift off easily.
After reading the reviews, I decided to try it. I cut back on the basil and just used about 1/4 C, added a small clove of garlic (raw garlic is powerful, so go easy) and just 2 tsp of lemon juice. I can't even think of using 3 TBS of oil- that is 45 grams of fat, even though it is "good" fat. We need Ellie Krieger back!!! I ended up using 1 tsp of oil. The rice was good and creamy. I always have brown as a stable, so this is a special treat to have creamy rice. Not sure how this will reheat, so I just kept the rice and avocado mixture separate. When I am ready to eat my next serving, I will heat the rice up in the microwave and then spoon some sauce on top and mix.
