It looked really good on a "The Kitchen" this morning so I tried it for dinner tonight. Even with the beer, the beef was quite bland. I ended up adding Worcester & some thyme..it helped a bit..I wish I had added garlic. And, although there was 5 TBL of flour, it never did thicken up. the dish was as beautiful on my Thanksgiving table. However, I wish I'd read the comments about some of the veggies not being completely done. I would have put them in the baking dish at varying time, or tent with foil as one review suggested. overall, taste was great.
