Reviewed Braised Chicken with Mushrooms and Almonds

"Great Recipe! I Anne's Cook Book for Christmas and I wanted to see the ratings so I checked out the website. The book forgot to mention the Pancetta so I'm glad I found out that tasty detail! Anyways- Mine was a little soupy so next time I would just reduce the broth added at the end but other than that, it was FANTASTIC. I served with Anne's "Loo""

Reviewed Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe Pesto

"So upset b/c I love Anne and her recipes usually. I followed word for word and it was incredibly bitter. My boyfriend and I had been salivating over the idea of the dish all through making it. When we tasted it and tried to eat an entire serving, we just couldn't. Threw it all away....It was a big waste of pasta and broccoli rabe. We ended up eating boxed mac and cheese! (which was delicious I definately won't make it again, although I'll keep trying Anne's recipes!"

Reviewed Light Chicken Potpie

"Definately takes some time because it is a lot of chopping but well worth it! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect. HOWEVER I used 2 cups of broth- 4.5 would be too much for sure! Consistency and flavor were perfect. I DID use a 2.5 qt casserole dish b/c like some others have said, it makes a lot of filling!! The 2.5 qt was a better fit and the cook time was perfect. Indulge in fresh herbs for sure on this one : Soooooo yummy!

Reviewed Roast Chicken

"Wow I'm so happy I came across such a simple and amazing recipe. To everyone concerned with lack of basting material, fear not! I put a few pats of butter in the pan w/my veggies to begin with and it actually didn't bother me when some of the outermost onions started to caramelize- it made for great flavor in the sauce/gravy. Chicken was SUPER moist and full of flavor. The "sauce" I found to be runny so I added about 3 Tbsp of flour over low heat and whisked to make more of a gravy. So delicious and I agree with everyone- use real butter or don't make it at all- do Julia proud :)
