My Activity

Reviewed Pulled Pork

"Delish!! I've made this twice. The first time I did it with a cut of meat without a bone. It was a little disappointing. This time, Boston Butt was on sale so I bought that and it turned out OUTSTANDING! I got a 6ish lb cut and it was done in about 8 1/2 hours. I also made the vinegar sauce. I had a couple of cayenne peppers from my garden. I did "

Reviewed Lemon Angel Food Cake

"GREAT! Never made an angel food cake before, but I am not a novice baker. This was VERY simple. I didn't (and refuse to buy) have super fine sugar, but after 1-2 minutes in a food processor, regular sugar is perfect. The kitchen aid really does all of the work for you...just the folding takes a little time. I found 40 minutes was perfect...the cak""

Reviewed Chocolate Fudge Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Chocolate Ganache Glaze

"AHHH! SO AMAZING! I had a hankerin' to do some baking and had a crazy craving for a layer cake, so I found this recipe. It's definitely going into the ol' recipe book. HINT: 3 sticks of butter (1 1/2 cups is perfect for the buttercream frosting...not the 1 1/2 pounds that the recipe calls for. Blek! I didn't have nearly enough vanilla extract, so ""

Reviewed Profiteroles

"SO easy and yummy! Made it just as the recipe said. I ran out of disposable piping bags, so I just used a ziploc bag and cut the corner off and it worked perfectly. Definitely would recommend! It's a really inexpensive dessert to make, too!"

Reviewed Melt-in-Your-Mouth Braised and Barbecued Chicken

"FANTASTIC! It's definitely Asian inspired and it's great. The chicken falls off the bone and I wouldn't change anything with the recipe (which I normally tweak recipes). I served it over Arborio rice and it was fantastic. Definitely would recommend. "

Reviewed Tangy Barbecue Chicken

"I just used this sauce last night on baked chicken wings (wanted to give it a go before I use it on breasts, but that's tomorrow!). SO good...it's tangy and sweet. I added a little garlic powder, but I think I'll be adding onion powder also and cayenne or crushed red (we like spicy!) Definitely a good recipe!"
