Reviewed Parsnip-Potato Mash

"I like parsnips but this mash was just ok. I thought it tasted more like parsnips than potatoes. I think I will just stick with regular mashed potatoes next time."

Reviewed Sunday Pot Roast with Mushroom Gravy

"The meat was nice and tender at 2 1/2 hrs...I didnt turn it and cook it like it said for another 30 - (I think that would have been too long. The gravy had a good flavor but I only had 1 onion and not quite all the mushrooms it called for, so the 4 cups of broth was too much. I should have reduced it to 2 cups, but still...the gravy tasted good. O"

"I am surprised this got 5 stars! Now dont get me wrong I LOVE Paula. I just thought after reading all the reviews that this was going to be a keeper. For all the spices that it called for I felt that it just wasnt flavorful enough. My husband said he would give it an 8 out of 10 but I would give it about a 5 out of 10. "I am surprised this got 5 stars! Now dont get me wrong I LOVE Paula. I just thought after reading all the reviews that this was going to be a keeper. For all the spices that it called for I felt that it just wasnt flavorful enough. My husband said he would give it an 8 out of 10 but I would give it about a 5 out of 10. Oh, and BTW...once you transfer the skillet to the oven, are you supposed to leave the oil in the skillet? I know the receipe did not say to remove the oil from skillet so I didnt however, when I transfered the skillet to the oven the oil smoked like crazy! I had to open all my doors to let the smoke out...that cant be right!?"
