To lighten it up a bit, I only used 1 stick of butter and 3/4 cup sugar instead of 2 sticks of butter and 1.5 cups sugar. I also used about 4 apples and it was awesome!!!! A dash of cinnamon is great too. I'm definitely copying this into my recipe box!

This is delicious. I swapped out regular salt for garlic salt and it tasted just like a restaurant would make. I'll be making this again!

I made these last night and served with some chicken noodle soup since my family is sick. These are WONDERFUL! Very fluffy, moist and just sweet enough. I did use half the sugar though. I am making this my go-to cornbread recipe from now on. I loved the flavor of the honey in them. It was so so good!!!!!!!!

Made these last night and the batter was super easy to throw together! I actually made cupcakes instead and they turned out great. Makes exactly 24 cupcakes. I liked that the batter wasn't runny and it made it easier to scoop into cupcake liners. The cupcakes taste great and I would definitely make these again! I hope to make the frosting next...

This was truly delicious and tasted very fancy. I made this with some whole wheat pasta and it turned out great. However, I didn't care for the lemon zest and thought it needed a little more salt. But I will definitely be making this again!!!!!!!

I just made these this morning after a chocolate cupcake recipe disaster last week. These were so easy and fun to make. Definitely one to involve kids with while making. I followed the recipe exactly and made sure to fill the cups until about 1/4" from the top of the cupcake liner. They rose nicely and don't "deflate" after pulling them out of...

The frosting is amazing! However, the cupcakes were like dry muffins. The batter was ultra ultra thick which is odd and I think there was way too much cocoa powder. Overall they have good flavor but with all of the ingredients in there that you would think that would keep them moist (brown sugar, buttermilk, and sour cream) they were dry. They will...

Delicious and perfect! I made these as a test run for the holidays today and they are perfect. Also, I found the dough easier to work with without even needing refrigeration. It was a little more rollable. One tip: when rolled out, the dough is somewhat fragile, so I followed Alton's tip when he said to pick up the cookie with a spatula and the cutter...

Mine are cooling now and they came out perfectly! I followed the recipe exactly and can't wait to gobble them up with some freshly brewed coffee! After sampling one right from the oven, they are very tender, soft, and moist, but stay together just fine. I will definitely save this recipe and they were very simple!"
