"YUMMY!!!! I admit the thought of butter flavored shortening grossed me out, but these cookies taste awesome - so awesome I forgot all about the shortening. I did use good quality dark chocolate (60%) chips and semi-sweet chips - the blend adds to it. Another great recipe from Alton"

"This is by far the best cake I've made/eaten. It's super moist and everyone loved it. It has an excellent chocolate flavor and texture. I will make this cake again and again. The frosting on the other hand was NOT my favorite. Although I really liked the consistency and texture, the coffee gave it a burnt taste. "
