"this was a really good recipe. I used fresh green apples instead of dried, and a pressure cooker to speed things up a bit. The dumplings came out delicious and i really liked the apple flavor in this dish.
"wow. This was the best cake i have ever tasted. I made it for my boyfriend's birthday and he couldn't stop talking about it. The only issues were that the icing was kind of thin and didn't really cover the cake, i just poured in in between the layers. the ganache worked as frosting for the sides of the cake though. It kind of looked like a giant mud pie and was surprisingly heavy, but that was just because it was so moist and RICH. The goats milk flavor and the strong coffee (i used starbucks) offset the sugars so it is not overwhelmingly sweet though. Overall i would say it makes a giant mess and is expensive, but is definitely worth it!
