Reviewed Crispy "Oysters Rockefeller" Recipe : Giada De Laurentiis : Food Network

1 day ago on

I've made Oysters Rockefeller several ways and this is a very nice twist on the original recipe! Followed this recipe exactly and I was glad I did. Guests loved this and the preparation honors the oyster. One thing for sure is that these need to be made in real time and eaten as soon as you put them together to enjoy the flavors and textures. Another...

Replied to Roast Beef with Marsala Gravy Recipe : Melissa d'Arabian : Food Network

Bella...I have made many of Melissa's recipes and they are all good. Maybe you don't like Marsala? I find it odd that everyone else including myself loved the marsala gravy except for you. I don't see anyone else saying this was awful. As for the meat being rare, that is an individual preference as I like mine medium rare. But if you know anything...

Oh really!! So what if you want two brownies!! I agree way too much fat here. So many other better brownie recipes. Why all the icing, lol!! NOT a good picnic brownie.

NO NO!! WAY TOO MUCH mustard!! No need for the vinegar at all!
Croutons way too greasy! You want your croutons to absorb some of the dressing! These are awful. Parmesan cheese is NOT supposed to be incorporated in the dressing with a caesar! YUK...not good at all. Sorry but this is NOT authentic caesar and not good.

NO! NO! WAY TOO much mustard!! NO need for the vinegar!! Croutons greasy and you don't put the parmesan IN the dressing!! This was awful and not authentic caesar at all. If this is tweaking dressing then someones' tastebuds are WAY off.

This recipe is awesome just as it is! These reviews are a bit baffling as I followed this to the "T" and it turned out perfect! Maybe they used salted butter or they didn't use kosher salt who knows but the seasoning was perfect as was the topping. Absolutely delicious and everyone loved it. Thanks Ina.

FYI...LEAVE the recipe alone! It is great as it is written. I don't get these people that change the recipe and have to post it! Adding sugar no less! Adding a carrot to the sauce and then removing it will sweeten the sauce with the natural sugars from the carrot....

How could anyone love cottage cheese and hate ricotta! Having said that just because your kids hate ricotta that doesn't make this recipe good! I DID make it and it is gross. Enough said.
