New Topic Seeking information about: rosemary in Cooking Q & A

"When Ina calls for one 6-7 inch sprig of rosemary, how much does that equal to dried? The "dictionary" here says that one Tablespoon fresh equals one teaspoon dried. So how much is on a 6-7 inch sprig? I HATE when she always specifies "good" olive oil and that she assumes we can all go out and buy fresh herbs or grow our own. I love her recipes but..."

My daughter made this last night and thought it was not sweet enough during cooking so wound up adding sweetened condensed milk (which was mistakenly opened for a recipe to be made today) and served this over vanilla ice cream. I'm not really feeling the sugar, and can't see why a salad needs it anyway. Next time, I'll leave the sugar out entirely and add red onion and some other herbs and/or spices. Oregano, maybe? That way the fresh vegetables' taste can be the star instead of the too-sweet marinade.""
