I know why everyone is getting cake instead of brownies. You never melt butter when baking. You cut in the room temp butter into a bowl of all the dry ingredients. Then you mix all the wet ingredients into a separate bowl and then mix them together. The mix should be thick and somewhat grainy. And don't bake longer than 30 mins. Do this and your brownies...
