Reviewed Chicken "Saltimbocca": Saltimbocca di Pollo

Apr 6, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Outstanding! This is a simple dish to fix, but it's truly delicious. We skipped the fried sage stage because we didn't have much sage, but it was still soooo good! We've been ordering chicken saltimbocca as a takeout dish from our favorite Italian restaurant, but this is so much richer in flavor that we'll make it ourselves from now on. Thanks,...

These are a very good appetizer. Instead of a rotisserie chicken, I used two large chicken breasts which I baked. I cut them in chunks, chopped them up a bit in the food processor and then added the other ingredients into the food processor for a few more pulses. I don't know if that amount of chicken changed the chicken to cheese/onions/hot sauce...

We made this as an appetizer for Christmas and it was a big hit! The cayenne definitely gave it some kick. We doubled the bacon and used an immersion blender to puree the soup, but otherwise followed the recipe.

We had this salad for dinner tonight with grilled chicken and asparagus. What a flavorful, colorful salad! I didn't have the parsley in the fridge that I thought I had, so I made it without the parsley, which I'm sure took away from its flavor, but we still enjoyed it. Even my husband, who doesn't like olives, loved this salad. I reduced the s"

Delicious! Ina does it again! I'm not a big salmon fan, but this simple combination of ingredients is amazingly good. We grilled it indoors on a grill pan and it was perfect. We served it with spinach tortellini, caprese salad and fresh green beans for a nice summer meal. Yum!"

Reviewed Grilled Chicken Breasts with Spicy Peach Glaze

Jul 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This chicken was very good. The glaze is only mildly spicy, which suited my preferences, but it really has a nice spicy-sweet flavor. If you like your food spicier, you might consider adding more jalapeno or some cayenne to the dish, but taste the glaze first.

I'm not a big fan of lemon-flavored sauces, but I trust Giada's recipes, so I gave this one a try. It's delicious -- a nice blend of flavors with a mild buttery-lemon sauce. Following the suggestions of others, I reduced the salt by half, figuring I could always add more later. The lemon I used was medium-sized and produced about 2 tablespoons "

Reviewed Perfect Potatoes au Gratin

May 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These potatoes au gratin are great comfort food -- creamy and delicious! It would also be good as a main dish casserole with cubed ham added in. The boxed au gratin potatoes are simple to make, but they always taste strangely artificial to me, so it's nice to have an easy alternative that tastes so good. "

Dec 25, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These little frittatas are easy and delicious! We'll be having them later as part of our Christmas brunch. I'll substitute some chopped sauteed pancetta for the ham. They can be made ahead and reheated in the oven, making them a quick, portable, high-protein breakfast. "

This was so easy and delicious! I used a combination of sharp cheddar, swiss and gorgonzola because that's what I had in the fridge. My dip ended up with more texture than Alton's did, but I think that's because the gorgonzola wasn't at room temperature. I added a couple of extra tablespoons of wine to finish out a small bottle, which made it c"

These frittatas were excellent! We served these as part of our Christmas morning brunch in place of the usual sausage and egg casserole and everyone loved them. The linguine adds some texture to the frittatas while the proscuitto and cheeses add great flavor. I was able to buy chopped proscuitto at the store, which was a great time saver. I t...
