Made this for Thanksgiving with fresh green beans and it was a hit. I doubled the green beans and it was still perfect. I blanched them in 5 cups of chicken stock for 8 minutes and then shocked them in an ice bath. Reviewed Gina's Pear and Apple Cobbler

This recipe was easy as pie! I think I will only use apples next time, the pears weren't bad, its just a preference thing for me and my family. It was very sweet so I may use a little less brown sugar as well, 1/2 a cup should be sufficient. Served this with french vanilla ice cream for Thanksgiving and it was great.
