Reviewed Towering Flourless Chocolate Cake

I made this today and I didn't have a 9" springfoam pan so I used an 8". It has been baking for 45+ minutes and it is still not done and the center looks like it has fallen. Does anyone know why this happened?
The batter tasted delicious before I baked it hopefully it will turn out and nobody will notice the center once I place the meringue...
