This review is for the crust only. I couldn't bring myself to make a dish containing 12 tablespoons of butter in the filling alone, so used Ina's crust recipe with someone else's filling recipe. It was my first time making potpie, and I just want to say that this crust rocks!! It was easy, easy, easy, and if you fear making pie crust (as I do)...

It was my first time making any type of pot pie, and I thought this filling was delicious! I subbed a combination of celery and leeks for the fennel, because the fennel was outrageously expensive at my store. I added an extra potato because I was a little short on the mushrooms. And I used white wine instead of the vinegar. It was fantastic! ...
