"This is a simple, quick and tasty salad! I was already cooking sweet onions for dinner, so I separated some out for the salad. I sauteed the mushrooms slightly as well. I didn't have honey mustard, but used dijon instead. I also went a little lighter on the vinegar. My husband gobbled all the bacon before I could add it to the salad, so I substituted real bacon bits instead. A lower sodium bacon or turkey bacon would be a good substitute for the more health conscious. A most excellent go-to side salad or even a main dish with some nice bread. Delish!
