“I only made the sponge cake portion to be served with strawberries -- wasn't impressed. Putting the batter in to a jelly roll pan made it very thin, it smelled wonderful then tasted like a fortune cookie. Using the tea wasn't addressed anywhere either, I think it was to brush on the sponge cake after cooking but I wasn't sure.
