Reviewed real meatballs and spaghetti

Mar 17, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

These meatballs were excellent! I thought adding water was a little weird but it made them very moist. The only change I made was to add 1 finely chopped and sauted onion to the meatballs and I left out the the nutmeg. This will be my go-to recipe from now on!

Nov 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Really good! I listened to some of the other reviews and mixed the eggs, butter and half & half with the cream cheese and then added the pumpkin. I also used little bit more cinnamon and added some nutmeg. Based on the other reviews I thought there would be a lot of filling left so I put some of the left over crust into a small soup crock and...

Blech! I am usually a fan of Melissa and was excited to try this recipe with all the 5 star reviews. I followed it exactly with the exception of using less thyme and I STILL thought the thyme flavor was way too overpowering. Probably the best part of the dish were the tomatoes and garlic breadcrumbs on top. "

Reviewed Chicken Rollatini with Ditalini

Really good!! Like other reviewers I sauteed the spinach in olive oil with some garlic first. Also, I didn't have goat cheese so I used a mixture of asiago and mozzarella. Will definitely make again with the goat cheese. Umm!"

I couldn't believe how awful these were after getting so many good reviews. I followed the recipe exactly. They were kind of mushy in the middle and not a lot of flavor at all. If you are going to make these, be sure to spray the pan with non stick spray since they were hard to remove. Also, 1 pastry sheet makes 12 rounds."

Reviewed Good Eats Meatloaf

Nov 11, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

A little too spicy. Like the other reviewers, I agree the sauce was delicious. Meat was moist and the veggies were a good addition. Would definitely make this again with more sauce for dipping and less pepper."

Reviewed Fresh Focaccia with Marinated Chicken and Spinach and Artichoke Spread

Nov 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I only made the spinach and artichoke spread part of this recipe, but it was absolutely delicious! Can be used as a sandwich spread or even as a dip. I grilled some chicken and put it on a roll with cheese, the spread and fresh spinach and made it into a panini. Would definitely make this again!"

Will never buy mix in a box again! Even without the blueberries, these pancakes are delicious. "

SO GOOD! At first, I thought it was kinda weird frying the meat after it cooked all day, but it really does give it a delicious flavor and texture. They only had huge shoulders at the store, so instead I used a pork loin roast. I didn't have time to make the pico de gallo, so I used storebought salsa, but I will definitely make the pico de gall"

Reviewed Homemade Instant Pancake Mix and Blueberry Syrup

Mar 24, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I love the idea of making my own pancake mix. But the first time I made this the pancakes seemed very thin almost like crepes. I wanted to use up the rest of the dry ingredients so this time I used buttermilk instead of milk and they were much better! Also added a little vanilla extract.""

Absolutely delicious. I used a whole roasted chicken from the grocery store instead of poaching. Didn't have dill the second time I made it but it's still was really good.""

Sooo disappointed! I couldn't wait to make this after seeing it on TV and reading all of the 5 star reviews. But despite all the cheese and liquids, it was kind of dry and very spicy. The best part was the croutons on top.""

REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Took out all of the seeds and ribs and it wasn't hot at all. Only added a little shake of the cayenne; will use a little more next time. Had left over bacon from breakfast, so I crumbled that and added it to the cheese mixture. Yum!! As recommended by others, I sprayed a little Pam before cooking and the topping came out "

AWESOME!!! This was delicious. Key is to slice the potatoes pretty thin, and be sure to brown them at the end. The only change I made was to add a handful a sliced cheddar in between the layers. I would give this 6 stars if I could!

Reviewed Mac and Cheese

Nov 21, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I was very excited to try this recipe with all it's great reviews, BUT it was definitely not the best mac and cheese I ever tasted. It was OK, but not all that creamy. And, the cheese was really expensive!
