My Activity

Reviewed Corn and Poblano Lasagna

"In all fairness, the recipe came together fine. I just didn't realize how intense the corn flavor would be. I was expecting this gooey bite of cheese and chilies. This gooey bite came through but with a hefty dose of creamed corn flavor. My family, who clearly have similar palates, felt the same way. "

Reviewed Penne in Almond Sauce

"I am a HUGE Giada fan (tasty, simple meals), but was not a fan of this recipe. I totally missed the point of the almonds???? There was no almond taste in the recipe. I guess the almonds were, perhaps, a healthy substitute for the normally scrumptions creams you find in typical Giada recipes? Okay...so this was easy, I'll give you that. I jus"

Reviewed Lentil Quinoa Salad

"OMG!!! How delicious???

2 must-do shortcuts:

1. Buy pre-cooked lentils at Trader Joes (in fresh vegie section

Reviewed Roast Turkey with Truffle Butter

"Made this turkey for Christmas dinner. I needed a 21 lb bird. I used the same amount of truffle butter as the recipe call for and it seemed to be just enough. The bird cooked fast...maybe 4 hours. My thermometer called to take the breast to 165 degrees, which is what I did. I wished I'd checked the bird as described because I think it could h""

Reviewed Lobster Mac and Cheese

"I have wanted to make this FOREVER...just didn't have the $$$. Today I acquiesced. It was delicious (and expensive! I made only 1/2 of the recipe for my hubby and 2 kids; we still had leftovers. To cut costs I purchased a cooked-while-you-wait whole lobster. The 1 1/2 lb. beast yielded a little more than 1 generous cup of meat; less than the reci""

Reviewed Roasted Shrimp with Feta

"This gets a definite 5 stars on many fronts!!!

Made an entire, outstanding, company-quality dinner within 1 hour after work. Made the recipe as-is; it was easy, one-pan and delicious. I aways over-cook my shrimp and this was fool-proof perfection. I served the shrimp with store-bought pesto on spaghettini and crusty italian bread. Everyone fro""

Reviewed Chicken Florentine Style

"Fabulous. This recipe uses items and I keep in my freezer and makes an updated, fresh meal. Wow! My 8 year old had a house guest for dinner the night I made this and both had seconds! (Unusual for little girl guests...especially with spinach.) The chicken was moist and the sauce really made this a healthy, updated, comfort-food-type meal. "
