My Activity

Reviewed Kale Slaw

"Suprisingly delicious! I did not have high hopes for this salad, but Melissa has not let me down yet so I gave it a try. The whole family liked it. I did add more mayonnaise than the recipe called for because it didn't seem quite creamy enough, but other than that it was perfect."

Reviewed Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

"I thought my recipe for mashed potatoes was perfect until I tried these. I had the buttermilk on hand for the fried chicken so I decided to try Melissa's recipe. These potatoes were so good, I don't think I will ever make mashed potatoes my old way again. The whole family gave this tasty new side dish 5 stars!"

Reviewed Weeknight Buttermilk Fried Chicken

"My husband has been begging me to fix him fried chicken since we got married almost 4 years ago and I finally gave it a try after watching this episode. It was so easy and delicious. The hot pepper sauce adds the perfect amount of heat and the bredding was crunchy and had wonderful flavor. Tbe breast pieces that came in my package of chicken were much larger than the legs and thighs and took almost 30min to cook, but the dark meat was perfectly done in 15min. My husband is thrilled that we can now add fried chicken to our weeknight meal options. "

Reviewed Simple and Satisfying Broccoli

"This was yummy! The broccoli had a lot of flaver and I loved Melissa's reccomendation to cut it into "trees". It looked nice on plate and my 8 year old, who usually won't eat borccoli, really liked eating the "trunks"."

Reviewed Braised Country-Style Pork Ribs

"This looked so good I actually went out and got a dutch oven just so I could make it. I was not dissapointed! I had never braised anything before so I followed the recipe exactly. The next time that I make it I will probably decrease the amount of red pepper flakes and use wine to deglaze the pan instead of the vinegar, it was a little too spicy for my family and the vinegar added a tangyness that we wern't wild about, but overall we thought it was great. Very easy and satisfying dinner. "
