Reviewed Special Fried Rice
"I changed a few things in this recipe: removed red pepper and replaced white rice with brown rice. This is what I used: brown rice (which was cooked with chicken broth, dried onion & dried garlic, and salt, carrots, peas, scallions, white onion, egg, garlic, ginger and tamari. I think since the rice was cooked with chicken broth, garlic and onion "
"I tried this dish because it looked amazing on the show and was looking for a healthier version of takeout. It did take a little longer than 30 minutes to make but I chaulk that up to me getting distracted by dogs and making sure I did everthing right (I never use recipes when I cook). I loved this dish, the flavor of the paste was awesome. I didn't serve it over iceburg lettuce because I thought it would taste weird, so I made Thai rice noodles and tossed it in with everything else. Next time I make this I might try it with the lettuce, or green cabbage because it holds up more. Definately worth trying!"
