Reviewed Baked Banana Pudding

"This is the basic recipe for banana pudding that my dad made all the time. As an adult, I was shocked (not embellishing) to hear that people actually made banana pudding with instant pudding. I'm glad to be from South Carolina and very happy to have learned to cook from scratch, using my dad's Old Dutch Cookbook along with his advice. This guy may have grown up very poor, but we have never gone hungry (dad was 43 when I was born and he grew up during the depression). Come to my house and you'll always be welcomed with sweet tea or coffee and something to eat. Real banana pudding is so easy and so good. Friends and family are well worth serving this to.

About Me

I wish I'd found this one before I started cooking my 4# Angus roast.  It is fairly similar to what I did do though.  Differences, and I do hope they work out, were instead of broth, the juices I added were 2 cans of diced tomatoes, about 1/3 cup marsala wine, about 1 cup of apple juice, about 2 Tbsp worschestershire sauce and about 1/4 cup water.  I also sprinkled 2 Tbsp flour over the entire pot along with adding powdered garlic, salt/pepper and lastly, Thyme.  All of that on a large bed of onions, potatoes and celery.  Oh, and I did add probably 1 1/2 Tbs of tomato paste.  I guess we'll see in a few hours.
