Reviewed mexican macaroni salad

Aug 10, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

First of all, I dislike pasta salads so for me it was only ok , a little bland but my husband loves pasta salads. He enjoyed this spin on it. I didn't have fresh corn so I oven roasted canned Mexican corn. I will make it for a family gathering and see how it is received before I retired it or put it into my recipe book.

My husband and son ( and nephew) really liked these brownies. While I loved all the ingredients ( german chocolate cake, caramel and pecans, I have to say I am not a fan. A little disappointing for me but I will make for them. The recipe is really easy, which I like as well. "

Definately a repeat meal in this household. Wish you could indicate a 1/2 star- not quite a 5 but more deserving than a 4. I am making again tonight with some slight modifications. I don't mind the shells on- as some writers complain of but I will thaw the shrimp because there was too much water that mixed with the butter. We like more heat so I "

I don't normally care for mashed potatoes but these are delicious! I fixed them along with her Pork Loin with Cranberry Sauce and they are so good I will replace my usual Thanksgiving mashed potatoes with these. "

I really liked this and I am not a big mac n cheese fan. I didn't bake it because I ran out of time. Both my daughter and husband disliked it immediately. I used extra sharp because we all like sharp cheese. once refrigerated and then re-heated, they like it better. They do want me to try it again using just sharp cheddar. I'll try that and bake i"

This coleslaw received rave reviews at my Memorial Day dinner. I did make a few adjustments after reading several of the reviews. I used a combination of celery salt and celery seed, decreased the dry mustard to half of what was called for, added a little more sour cream and used green onions instead of spanish onions. I also did not process the c"

Reviewed Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Jan 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These aresome of the best chocolate chip cookies I have had- not too sweet, but delicious all the same. I felt they needed more malted milk. Even when you let them cook a little longer to get a deeper brown, they remain chewy, which is exactly how I like my cookies. Her recipe gave me an idea. All the measuring and mixing- well, who wants to do th...

I have neither like pot roast- meat has always been stringy. This is the BEST pot roast EVER! I have fixed it three times now (two times adding potatoes)and always in a cast iron dutch oven. I have always used beef broth as my liquid with great results. We do like it best on teh second day.""

Ina presented this recipe with a slight twist during a Thanksgiving show- she added maple syrup after removing from the oven. I tried this recipe as a "new" vegetable for our Thanksgiving dinner, adding the maple syrup as she did in the show. It is definately a keeper- everyone had great comments. I tried it again for dinner tonight, just to see if...

We absolutely love this soup! It is easy to prepare and so tasty. I roast the corn and peppers in my oven. Anytime I have not roasted the veggies, my family can tell the difference; so do take the time to do so, you won't be sorry. This is definately a "go to " meal for use. I make this every week when corn and zucchini are in season and a couple...

I have cooked my turkey like this ever since this episode first aired! It is the best, most perfect turkey ever. I get compliments every year. It is also so easy to prepare- no more waking up at the crack of dawn to get the bird in the oven and basting. I do use a fresh turkey that is 22-25 lbs. I have learned over the years how to adjust the brine....

I am always trying new ways to cook veggies- blanched, steamed get sooo boring. We don't eat cauliflower very often because of this. This was a great recipe for my family of 4; 2 parents, 15 year old and 23 year old. It was spicy enough to let your taste buds tingle but not so spicy that it brought tears to the eyes! My husband and I really liked...
