Reviewed Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp
"Has anyone done this as a make-ahead by prepping the apples and topping hours in advance, keeping them separate in the fridge until just before baking? I want to make this for Thanksgiving but worry that if I bake it in the morning or early afternoon, it will get soggy. I would like to prep the two parts in the morning, assemble just as we are sitting down, bake during dinner. Thoughts?
