"This cake is a lot of work but so decadent and chocolatey. It was a HUGE hit. The Cake part was a little hard to work with and mine ripped but not a huge deal. The ganache made it look fine. The only thing different I did was line my spring form pan with waxed paper to assemble the layers."

"Thank You Alex! We tried this recipe this year for Thanksgiving. I was worried about the soy sauce and the crushed red pepper but it all work great. I did though only use 1/2 a lb of butter. It still turned out. If we had been gravy people it would have been super too with all the crusty pan drippings. "

"Yum Yumm! I made these and the pound cake recipe for a Mardi Gras party years ago topped with the ice cream recommended and drissled with carmel. My husband still talks about how it was the best desert he's ever had. Since today is another Mardi Gras I thought I'd make it again. Thanks Emeril!"

Reviewed Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits

"Yummy! I was looking for a cheddar biscuit like you get at Red Lobster. Most of the recipes I found called for bisquick. Not wanting to go that way I found this one. The only change I made was I added 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder to the batter and I sprinkled garlic powder on the tops of the biscuits along with the salt. I served these as a side to go with pecan crusted codfish. The kids ate these for diner and only nibbled on the rest of diner. A bit salty... but that is part of the yum. As I write this the kids just snuck into the kitchen and got the last of them.
