Reviewed Lemon Pineapple Sherbet

Sep 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Served this at a dinner party last night. Light and refreshing. The amounts listed gives you a ridiculous amount of sherbet. You have to process 1/2 at a time. Definitely would cut in 1/2 next time so you get the typical 1 quart amount. I'm guessing Paula didn't want to waste 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk. I will cut back the sugar and us"

This recipe got rave reviews today!!! It's now my office manager's favorite cookie. So easy and fun to make. I refrigerated the dough for approx 1 hour to make it easy to scoop with a size 50 scoop. It made the 26 cookies it said it would. These ain't the prettiest cookies but the taste makes up for that. Will definitely make again. It was a"

I will just add my rave review to all the others that precede me!!!! This recipe is just fantastic and very impressive looking. It was fun to make although a little time consuming with the grilling. (Not easy to find a fresh eggplant in MI in Jan!)The smoked mozzarella was perfect in this dish. I added a little more peas because they're delic...

This marinara sauce is AMAZING!!!! I can my own marinara in large quantity every summer so I know a little about pasta sauce. I might try to can a few quarts of this sauce to add to my pantry. It will be alot of work but well worth it. Definitely a keeper! Any chili pepper works in this recipe - just use the one to suit your taste. My hubby "

Reviewed Grilled Chicken Caesar Mac

Jun 28, 2011 in Recipes on Cooking Channel

This recipe was just "ok" for me. It didn't taste as much like caesar as I would have liked. My husband ate all the chicken in the leftovers and threw the rest away. All the ingredients sound awesome - it just didn't deliver in the end."

It sounds delicious but at almost 1000 calories and 56 fat grams per serving, I just can't do it. Since I can't review without a rating, I just rated it "good"."

27 grams of fat per serving is way over the top!! I'd make this if it weren't for the fat content. My rating isn't valid because I didn't make the recipe but the website won't allow just a comment."

Reviewed Chickpeas with Chili, Garlic and Thyme

Jan 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was very tasty. I cooked the chickpeas to just tender (45 min) as the 90 min stated in the recipe would have turned them to mush. I'm not sure what the flour/baking soda/salt soaking liquid is about - I can only assume that it is to really get the chickpeas to plump up vs. water alone. Leave the seeds in the pepper for a little heat....

Reviewed Peanut Butter Fudge

Jan 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought this recipe was pretty good. It was a little dry appearing and it is a misnomer to call it peanut butter fudge when there is cocoa in it. Next time, I will just mix in softened peanut butter by hand to see if it appears less dry. It tasted pretty good regardless.
