"My husband thinks meat has to be in every dinner meal so I added mequite italian sausage. I would have preferred this with not meat. The flavor was great and strong enough on its own. The sausage was too strong for this dish. I will try again with chicken. In contrast to other reviews I felt the sauce was just right. It was thicker than a plain tomato sauce, but mixed well with the noodles.
