Reviewed French Toast
"This is a pretty good recipe. It's quick and easy plus I always have the ingredients on hand so I can make this in a pinch. I was worried the nutmeg and cinnamon would be overpowering but it's a mild flavor. You can just detect hints of both. I don't like a lot of sweetness so I cut the sugar to 1 tablespoon. I might try a little more sugar n"
Reviewed Roasted Asparagus
"Simple, tasty, fast. That's my favorite kind of recipe. I'm glad I read the previous reviews and cut my cooking time. I had thick asparagus (thicker than a pencil) and cooked them about 14 minutes. They came out fine. Reheating leftovers the next day did turn them a bit mushy."
Reviewed Pork Tenderloin with Seasoned Rub
"Great easy recipe. The pork came out moist and flavorful and it smells wonderful when it's cooking. Since I don't really like cumin all that much, I cut the amount to 1/2 teaspoon. For the garlic, I smashed a couple of cloves, browned them in the hot oil, then removed them before searing the pork. This way the garlic didn't burn. The best par"
Reviewed The Ultimate Roast Chicken
"Good recipe - it was simple and the chicken came out moist. I followed a couple of the suggestions from other reviews and added orange zest to the butter , roasted it the full 1 hour 20 minutes, and added potatoes to the roasting pan. Husband liked it and asked me to make it again. "
Reviewed Crispy Kale "Chips"
"I was pleasantly suprised at how crisp and tasty the chips turned out. I put the olive oil on my fingertips and worked a little onto each piece. Get them spread out in a single layer and don't oversalt. There were a couple of soft edges where there had been overlap. They taste great right out of the oven. I've still got to see how they taste ""
Reviewed Lemon Bars
"I really love lemon bars and this recipe was a huge disappointment. I tried 3 times to get this recipe to come out right and all 3 batches went straight into the trash. The shortbread crust was no problem; the filling was the problem. A thin, spongey, bread-like "crust" kept forming on top of the filling even after cutting the flour down to 1/4 cup. Did anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on why this happened would be appreciated! Once I peeled off the top crust, the filling was pretty tasty although I couldn't get a good consistency on that either. It was either gummy or spongey, not creamy. The filling has a strong lemon flavor which is fine with me. It is also very sweet. My preference is for more tartness so I cut the sugar to 2 1/4 cups. "
Reviewed Vegetarian Chili
"This recipe is very easy to prepare because most of the ingredients are canned and the blend of spices make the dish flavorful without being too spicy. Vegetable broth substituted for the chicken broth works out well.
