"I made this yesterday for 4 ADULTS! I followed recipe exactly. I did not cut the top off but just used the inside cut side as the top--it looked exactly like white bread. I used raspberry jam and everybody RAVED over it. I will make it many times over. Not too sweet and fun to eat."

I made this yesterday. I also had the same problem with the sugar/water portion. I ended up tossing it out and using brown sugar/ butter and a bit of corn syrup for the pan coating. Because my peaches were mushy, I used thinly sliced apples. It was FABULOUS! The cake portion is easy and absolutely delicious. I can see many uses for the cak"
