What an awful recipe. This year I made this cake without testing it before Thanksgiving. It was as heavy as two or three bricks tied together. It did NOT cook through at all well. Cooking time issues seem to be a concern across the board here. I took mine out at 40 minutes because they looked like they were burning. The toothpick came out clean. But they were still underdone but turned very dark brown. They tasted good but the texture was not as expected. Maybe a lower temperature coupled with a longer cooking time. Not sur"

I have to start by admiting I haven't made this recipe. Being Greek, I won't be making this version as it is not remotely authentic. Couscous? I've never seen in it in a Greek meetball or Greek dish period in my 49 years. Cumin has no business in this dish either.
