Maybe I didn't understand, but after I made pancakes they were thick. Then I realized you could pull them apart (after all, oil between them) and they were perfect. I doubled the recipe and they were great with left over duck with crisp skin, green onions, cabbage slaw and hoisin or other sauce

Tried last night with three ducks. Used turkey frier to boil, since no other pot would work. Several advantages... much higher heat so boils quickly and heat is outside house. Since I let get to room temperature before putting in oven, think I should have cooked the day before. Served with sauce from Robert Irvine's recipe for duck and berry sauce...
