Reviewed Easy Parmesan Risotto

Jan 18, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I was skeptical of this technique, but the method rocks! I made mushroom and kale risotto and sauted the onion, mushrooms, garlic and kale in olive oil, then added dry sherry. Then added the risotto and warmed broth and put it all in the oven. Afterward, I added the remaining warmed broth, butter and cheese and stirred; but it was done in 25-30...

Reviewed Chipotle and Rosemary Roasted Nuts

Dec 29, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

These are the best nuts! I made four batches this year over the holidays and they are so delicious and make great gifts. I bumped up the chipotle just slightly after the first batch. And I recommend using all the recommended rosemary. Just delicious!

Reviewed Stuffed Cabbage Stoup

Oct 5, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

We love this soup and make it all the time in the cooler months. I made it today although it's hot here and it is so delicious. I love the parsley and dill with it. It freezes great too. The smoked paprika really makes it in my opinion. I had to make it because our freezer was empty!

Reviewed Rack of Lamb with Mint-Basil Pesto

Oct 4, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent, and easy on the parmesan, which works well for us. It's all about the mint. We made it with lamb chops, bbq'd on the grill, and it was very tasty. Will definitely make again."

Reviewed Cocido

Sep 26, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have no idea what a "real" Cocido is supposed to taste like. And Rachael states on her show that she "loosely" interprets this dish. But my husband asks me to make this all the time in the fall and winter months. We like this for what it is, not a "true Cocido", obviously. Some people are so harsh. What about just being thankful for having"

I make this all the time in the winter months. It is satisfying and delicious, and it does make a lot. It is heavy with cheese, but the roasted veggies are delicious. Total comfort food!"

Reviewed Ras El Hanout Marinated Lamb Shawarma with Red Pepper-Walnut Tahini Sauce

Sep 14, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious and easy. Just marinate the lamb and then grill it. The marinade has great flavor and the walnut red pepper sauce is delicious. We used chia pita's and when we had leftovers, we stuffed them with spinach and cucumbers because that is what was in the fridge, although the mint is really flavorful! Very tasty, my husband and I "

Reviewed Spicy Shrimp and Spaghetti Aglio Olio (Garlic and Oil

Aug 25, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

No matter what new pasta dish I make, my husband always asks for this! I don't usually add the shrimp. Just plain aglio e olio with anchovies; it's a keeper, and we always have the ingredients on hand. The shrimp are for a special occasion at our house."

Reviewed Sea Scallops with Cracked Wheat Salad, Roasted Red Pepper Tahini Vinaigrette and Grilled Lemons

Aug 24, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We added some grilled Naan bread with that Dukkah nut and spice blend from Trader Joe's sprinkled over the top and everything was superb, especially the red pepper and tahini vinaigrette! We like things a little spicy so we went heavy on the Harissa and after it sits a while it just gets better. Another keeper from Bobby. Oh, and all the herbs "

Reviewed Honey Glazed Grilled Fig Salad with Feta, Pistachio and Mizuna

Aug 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious! All the components work perfectly together with the great flavor of the grilled figs. We used arugula, which, with its naturally peppery flavor just enhanced the rest of the dish. The feta and the pistachios are a great combo, and the dressing is perfect. We did use a little better quality balsamic for this application. A"

Aug 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We made this with Cornish Game Hens instead of Quail, because that is what we had when I saw this episode and I thought the glaze would go well with this protein just as well. Both the Pomegranate glaze and the Tabouli were so delicious my husband kept sneaking extra bites! We are making the figs now, & can's wait to make the Lamb Schwarma! Sup"

This dish is REALLY tasty and worth the work, but Giada gets dinged big time for using won ton wrappers instead of making her own pasta, or at least using a store bought pasta dough. Love this marinade for the tacos, super fast, and really flavorful. I love this tomatillo sauce too, but I don't use it with the tacos. I use a cilantro cole slaw instead. And I put all the veggies on a sheet pan in the broiler instead of cooking them in a saucepan, just for that charred flavor. All in all, it's a great recipe we make all the "
