For some reason when I made this, a weird boozy gel layer formed between the crust and the pecan filling- not necessarily bad, just unexpected and a little strange. I'm not a huge fan of bourbon flavor but my dad, who loves bourbon, ate 3 pieces. I did like the crust a lot though, the ground pecans added a bit of flavor and texture that really complemented...
