Please Food Network stop posting comments from people who don't even make the recipe! For those of us looking for new recipes to try with our family's the negative ratings could prevent someone from trying a really great recipe! I for one always read the reviews since some people taint the star ratings!

How rude to give a low rating or any rating at all if you didn't even make the recipe! Any of these Chefs deserve better than all of these people who rate recipes without even trying them!

If you are not blaming Ree for your mistakes, why give it such a low rating. Brisket does take a long time to get tender, cutting down on your cook time was not a good decision, it was tough because you did not cook it long enough!

read the recipe again and you will understand it. the wine is added to the dippings in the pan, then you add that wine to the slow cooker.

You should have used self rising flour as the recipe calls for, it contains salt

The recipe does not need salt, it calls for SELF RISING FLOUR which already contains salt

Loved this cake, in previous reviews the water was not listed in the ingredients but is listed in the directions to ad 1 1/3 cups of water alternating with the flour. A Cook should read a new recipe several times and check it again during preparation. Thanks Trisha for sharing another great recipe."

I love this recipe but I do cook it longer at a lower temperature, I use both red and green apples that I have dipped in a small can of pineapple juice, this prevents any discoloration and can even be done the night before and put in a ziplock bag."
