Wonderful!!! What I did different was: regular sugar as I could not find vanilla sugar. Also, I used vanilla extract only (4 teaspoons,tasting along the way), no vanilla bean. Still it was fabulous and received rave reviews from my dinner guests. Will definitely make again! ""

To echo alot of the other sentiments, I was skeptical. But I did go ahead and followed this exactly. Oh my! What a treat we had! It truly was cooked to perfection. We had an 8.3 lb roast.Six of had dinner and everyone raved about it. Truly a keeper!! Thanks Paula!!""

My family loved this soup- even my brother, who usually is a very picky eater when it comes to veggies. I also added a tsp of fresh minced ginger. Tasty, delicious, and very easy to make. YUM!
