My Activity

Reviewed Pork, Spinach, and Ricotta Manicotti

"My mom made this for me when I was a kid. She thought she was pretty hot stuff knowing how to make home made crepes (this was during the 70's). Armed with my Mom's Crepe Pan I set out to make this recipe. It is time consuming and if you start it two hours before people are showing up, you might feel a little stressed.

Note that Anne points out""

Reviewed Standing Rib Roast

"I bought a 6 rirb roast from the butcher. Let me say, I have a really great butcher but I was a little confused when he said, would I tied. I ssid yes not understanding quite what he asked and then he proced to cut the bones off and then tied them back on.

The Butcher looked at me and said you are buying one nice piece of meat, do you need instructions, I smiled and said, got it from here. So, if you have a good butcher, have them cut the bones off and tie it.

As usual (sorry Anne) cut the amount of salt back.

I served it with Horseradish that Anne did in another recipe and then skinnned of the oil and made Yorkshire pudding.

I also did other recipes from the show (Garlic Smashed potatoes) and everyone raved. Anne is is from my part of the country (upstate NY) and find I just love the favor profiles and she works with things that I would have in the Kitchen.

Reviewed Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Grilled Spring Onions

"I threw a dinner party and cooked this. I followed the directions for the beef and the Horseradish sauce and it came out perfect. Everyone raved about at the dinner. I was hoping for more leftovers for a couple of days where I could eat Beef Sandwiches but my guests at it all!

Reviewed Brined Herb-Crusted Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy

"I made this for Thanksgiving and my friends are still going on about how this is by far the best Turkey they have ever had. If you follow the instructions (including the brine) you cannot go wrong.

When everyone went on about how nice the turkey came out I thought to myself, "Hey, look at me, I am a superstar!"
